Judge Chutkan, in a 20 page opinion, denied Trump’s motion to recuse her. It took much longer than I thought it would, but it is the right result.
The judge now has to rule on the motion for a gag order. That is not an easy issue, but, on balance, I think some order must be entered. I disagree with those who think the threat of an earlier trial date is sufficient. In fact, not giving Trump’s legal team adequate time to prepare for trial. That could boomerang

I was so discouraged about the Marlins losing 11 to 2 in yesterday’s fist game, that I refused to watch the second game. I relied on periodic reports from my daughter who watched. Surprisingly, we won the second game and are still alive although bit is hard to be optimistic.

Instead, I watch the debate. What a bunch of clowns. There is no one who stands out as being presidential. It was like watching high school kids squabbling, just yelling each other. If I had to pick one, I would pick Christie who, as he pointed out, was the only one from a blue state. At least he did not conduct himself like a juvenile delinquent.

I really detest McCarthy. The Senate easily passed a spending bill and McCarthy is refusing to even put it up for a vote. I believe, but am not sure, but I think Jeffries can circumvent the Speaker.

Remember, McCarthy already made his deal with Biden. Now he is offended Biden will not meet with him to cut a deal. The deal has already been cut.
Also, keep in mind that, with all the trouble we are facing, the House has time today to start totally baseless impeachment proceedings. Why would Biden want to meet with this jerk?
