Yesterday got up a 5 a.m. for an early morning game drive which left the lodge about 6a.m. and took around three hours. This part was beautiful, but we did not see a lot of animals. Saw some, but not nearly as many as in Tanzania.
Return to the Lodge for quite a nice breakfast. Then, at 11 a.m., took a great boat ride. Saw dozens of elephants, some more Impala and one ugly crocodile. Will post pictures of the elephants and a few other animals.
After game drive much better than morning. Very hot when we started out about 3:30 but cooled off before 6.
Food in Lodge very plentiful and some quite good. However, the pizza made to order the first day was the best followed by the ribs they brought to our room that night.
Barbara and I have a great accommodation and we were really tired after getting up at 4:30 a.m for the early morning game drive. So, today we are passing on a long trip to Victoria Falls, sleeping in and hanging around the Lodge. There is a late afternoon game drive that is a possibility, but I may pass.

Saw two major television talking heads were fired. Don Lemon at CNN and Tucker Carlson at Fox. More surprised about Lemon. Neither were favorites of mine but, of course, no Democrat will mourn Carlson’s demise.

It is about 10 p.m for us Monday night and the incumbent is already asleep. I think I will join her.
