A very nice thing happened to me at Whole Foods yesterday. I went to get fresh squeezed orange juice. As is often the case, the machine was not in operation. The juice is one of the
highlights of my culinary day, and I was almost out. I nicely complained to a young man who, apparently, took pity on me. He said “wait here, I will go in the back an squeeze the juice for you". Go figure.

If I gave you 100,000 guesses, you would not come up with our plans for today. Centurion American Express has invited us to spend the day and night if we wished on Seabourn Expeditions which is docked at the port of Miami. We are given a Veranda suite but have plans Saturday so we are going just for the day. This includes a buffet lunch, cocktail reception and dinner, and a tour of the ship. There will be some lectures about the expeditions, of course.

I was surprised that Trump’s legal team has abandoned its efforts to remove the case in Georgia from state to federal court. As far as I know, Meadows is still appealing the ruling that he could not remove his case.

Looks like Trump’s trial in New York could start as early as Monday. His first effort to delay the trial was denied. No idea how long the trial will take. Estimate 4 to 5 weeks. Do not know how hard this judge works or whether he has trial everyday. Expect a lot of fifth amendment answers, but, unlike a criminal case where no adverse presumption can be assuming when invoking the privilege, this is a civil case and an adverse presumption can be drawn.

Marlins made a great comeback getting two runs in the 9th to lead 2 to 1, but then game suspended by rain. I thought they would be declared the winner, but, apparently, I misunderstood the rule.
