When I was maybe 10 or 12 I thought this was the greatest singing I ever heard.
It was my Mother who taught me the most about music, but we did not agree about everything. I kept telling her that Ella was the very best, but my Mother did not like scat or variations from the melody. She did not like “Slow Boat To China” and I did. Her favorite song was “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes” which I also love.
The thing about music is no two people like exactly the same thing but that does not detract from the great joy music brings I am never ever bored even if no music to play, I listen in my head.
