The media cannot say a person committed a crime until that person is convicted. Until then the accused is “alleged” to have committed the crime.

Maybe it is the same with Supreme Court decisions. Otherwise I cannot rationalize the media writing and reporting that the Court MAY overturn Roe v Wade. Hell, is there anyone with an I Q over 70 who thinks Roe v Wade will not be overturned? So much for Trump’s appointments testifying they will respect precedent.

Conservative nominees and sheep lie. I think the Justices who said at their nomination hearings they would respect the precedent of Roe v Wade should have their narrow asses hauled before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Doubt that can happen, but as the Andrew Sisters sang, “I Can Dream, Can’t I?”.

And, of course, something must be said about the “leak”. Can anyone recall another instance in Supreme Court history where a draft opinion became accessible to the whole damn world? Worship any G-d you choose, but I do not suggest the Lord of Coincidence.

Here is the thing folks. Reversing Roe v Wade is not the end. It is the beginning. If there is no right to privacy implied in our Constitution, all our freedoms are in jeopardy. Watch out same sex couples, watch out inter-racial marriages, watch out Blacks, Asians Muslims, Jews and every one else who is not a white Christian heterosexual. These assholes will be coming for us all.

Everyone I met yesterday in Italy is concerned. I think the whole world is watching. This is such a big story that it wiped a war between Russia and Ukraine off of the front page. Instead, the decay of our civilization took the place of a war that could destroy millions of people if not contained.

Only 28% of Americans want Roe v Wade overturned. In his draft, Alito flat out says that what the people want does not matter. That is clearly the Republican view so my next question is, “Why are there so many Republicans?”

We received a condolence email from a friend in Toronto. I would say we are now the laughing stock of the world, but this is no laughing matter.

How do the Republican women feel? The first question should really be why are they any Republican women? Why are there any Republican Blacks?

I am not going to get into why there are any Republican Jews. Unfortunately, I know the answers but if I express them, there would be an unprecedented shitstorm. ——————————-

Marlins lost two games yesterday both 5 to 4 to a so-so Arizona team. Too bad. Those were games that need to be won at home.

Vance won in Ohio. That is bad because, among other things, he had Trump’s support. The fact that Trump wants our country to be like Hungary just scares the hell out of me. I just cannot wrap my brain around how many Americans are either stupid and /or just do not care.

Yesterday we had an earthquake in Florence. Our building shook at some things almost toppled over of our bookcase.

There is an old joke about a couple on their honeymoon in San Francisco making love for the first time when the earthquake hit. Their whole bed shook. The man looked at his new bride and said, “Honey, they will not all be that good”.

The Washington Post reports that 52% of Americans think Trump should be charged with a crime for his participation on January 6. 42% say no. Only 11% of Republicans think he should be charged. 56% of independents think he should be charged.
