Spent almost the entire morning on my iPad making appointments for Barbara and me at a CVS two miles from our hotel so we could get our 4th COVID shot. We have appointments for 11:00 and noon today. It was not easy to get done, not like making a restaurant reservation on Open Table, but I finally got it done.
Why do this on a family vacation instead of waiting until we get home? First, we have no time when we get home as we have way too much to do to get ready for our long cruise which starts a few days after we return. Second, although neither of us had any bad reactions to prior shots, there is always a first time, and it is better if it happens that it happen here.

Yesterday it was still chilly but much warmer and there were people on the beach. However, at night, it was too cold to eat outside and our dinner was moved into the hotel. Today, it is expected to be normal.

Yesterday, I was able to finally put to bed that small legal matter that I was handling as a favor to a friend. It made me feel good that I was able to help and make a positive difference. It is why I have loved doing family law my entire professional life.

I was not surprised that the Supreme Court kept Title 42 in place. I was surprised that Justice Gorsuch sided with the liberal minority… the case will be be heard on its merits in February. .

I know of no way George Santos can be prevented from being seated in the House. Still, there has to be something wrong about what he did. Santos did not represent he got a A when he got a C. He lied about almost everything a candidate can lie about. Where he went to school, where he worked, his heritage and that there is a warrant for his arrest in Brazil.
There is no chance a single Republican will do or even say anything. I do have this question: where was the due diligence of Santos’ Democratic opponent? Even in my Wife’s local elections, a deep dive is made with respect to the opponent’s background.
