We had most of our family and three friends to our house for Rosh Hashanah dinner. Barbara got up at about 2:00 a.m. to begin preparing. I started writing this post at 10:15 p.m. and Barbara was still in the kitchen. I tried to get her to do some cleanup today but she is obsessive compulsive beyond description.

The most exciting thing for me from yesterday is that Granddaughter, who was admitted to nursing school a few days ago, today was invited to apply for the Honor’s Program. As I wrote, I think she will be an extraordinary nurse. She has it all worked out in her head -- really amazing.

Gas company actually showed up yesterday to do whatever they had to do for our new generator to be operable. Weather allowing, the job will be finished today and we will have a working generator. Two of my three kids already have them
