Hockey superstar Bobby Hull died. He was one of the if not the greatest hockey players of all time. Hull had the most feared slap shot in the history of the game. I watched Hull play in his prime when I was at Northwestern Law School from 1962 to 1965. Hull was not only, in my view, the most dominant player in my lifetime, he was the most dominant athlete in any sport until Michael Jordan came along.

Although I was told this morning by Guest Services that it would be two or three days until the ship’s satellite would be repaired, it was back working last night around 8 p.m. . Of course, there is no guarantee that it will continue to work, but one second at a time.

We had a good day at sea yesterday. The wine tasting we attended I would rate no higher than a C, not nearly as good, as well organized, or as educational as the ones we attended on our Oceania cruises. However, Barbara and I met another couple we really liked. After the wine tasting, we sat and talked to them for more than two hours.
What I have thought about many of our fellow passengers is that when you strip away the tinsel, you get to the real tinsel underneath. This was a couple with some real substance willing to have meaningful discussions. We also met another man, married but traveling alone because his Wife does not like to cruise, and we spent an enjoyable time with him.
We have no special plans for today until Trivial Pursuit, which is every sea day at noon, I, generally hang out in the coffee bar reading most of the time.

Terrible day in the stock market yesterday, and based upon the futures when I just turned on the television, today will be no box of chocolates either.
I just looked at futures again and they are up. Have no idea what will happen today.

Is someone going to match up what the Republicans said they were going to do with what they have actually done? Another interesting exercise would be to analyze how much time, effort, and money is being spent by the Republicans simply for show with no chance of passage and, for the most part, having nothing to do with actually governing:

It is no secret that I am no Donald Trump fan. I think the Man is a disgrace. Nonetheless, I just saw a headline that there is a grand jury probe in New York concerning Trump’s shenanigans with Stormy Daniels. Even I have had enough of that story. Melania might care, but I do not I would be a very lonesome man if I limited my life to men who could keep their zippers up. It is why men name their penises. They do not want perfect strangers making decisions for them.

Trump will never learn. Clearly the most litigious politician in the history of our country, he is once again abusing our court system. Now he is suing Bob Woodward for releasing the audio tapes of their interviews. Trump could easily get sanctioned again.

Yesterday one of my readers sent me a really nice private message. I began these posts almost three years ago and have not missed a day. Like everything else, some efforts were better than others. I have never analyzed why sharing my slant on life has enhanced it. I think it is because I have made a positive difference in the lives of some people while at the same time learning a great deal from the feedback received from others.
See you tomorrow. At least that is my plan.
