I lost my entire post for today and have neither the time or the energy to recreate it. I had noted that the Alabama Legislature not only thumbed their noses the Supreme Court Mandate, they did so overwhelmingly. There were hardly any votes in favor of giving the Black people of Alabama the representation in Washington to which they are entitled. The Republicans no longer even pretend to be law abiding. Every American should be screaming but they are not.

Today I paid more money to cut down and remove three trees from my yard than I earned my first full year working as a lawyer admittedly, it was a huge job but still………

This is a true story, without embellishment from my fraternity days a Michigan. My frater, Stu Aron, from Toledo, had a homework assignment in his English class where he had to write a poem. He had no idea how to go about this task so here is what he did. Stu’s grandparents lived in a old house with an attic. In that attic were many old boxes some filled with books. Stu went up in the attic, dug his way to a pile of dusty old boxes and found a book which contained some poems that appeared so old that no one would recognize the poem he copied, word for word and turned in as his original composition. When called upon by the teacher to recite his poem, he stood up and read “Trees by Stuart Hill Aron”. I kid you not. Stu graduated from Michigan Law School. So did Judge Cannon.

Had to go on an antibiotic yesterday which, in the vernacular, knocked the shit out of me. Fortunately, I have the great luck of having someone in the Hollywood medical community who is available virtually 24/7 when needed. Thank you Jimmy.

Getting old is not for the faint of heart. However, the alternatives are worse.

What happens to Ron DeSantis when he is term limited out as Governor and loses his bid to be President? He could more to Texas and run for Governor of Texas or maybe coach the Auburn football team.
